Like the Invited Designer Showcase, the Durban Fashion Fair Rising Stars Collection is not a competition. It is a showcase of some of the best work of young mentees who have been successfully empowered through Durban Fashion Fair’s Mentorship Programme. This work of nine designers chosen to create the Hollywoodbets Durban July DFF Rising Stars Collection will be proudly shown on the Celebration Stage on raceday.
The Hollywood Foundation has committed R250 000 in investment funding to assist the recipients with their business development needs – items such as machinery and other tools that they would require in order to conduct their day-to-day business.
Each of the nine DFF Rising Stars designers will also receive:-
- R5 000 in cash compliments of Gold Circle and Schweppes
- R500 Gift Card courtesy of Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
