Parking + Directions – The Hollywoodbets Durban July

PARKING – GOLF COURSE

A limited number of tickets to park on the Golf Course will be available from Computicket from Tuesday 26 May.

THE ENTRY POINT FOR ALL GOLF COURSE PARKING IS OFF DLI AVENUE FROM THE CITY SIDE ONLY. THIS IS THE ONLY ENTRANCE TO THE GOLF COURSE PARKING AREA.

Entry through this entry point applies to:-

MEMBERS “BLUE DOT” COMPUTICKET PARKING TICKET HOLDERS.
ALL OTHER HOLDERS OF “BLUE DOT” PARKING TICKETS
“RED DOT” COMPUTICKET PARKING TICKETS.

IN ORDER TO ENSURE SWIFT ACCESS TO THE GOLF COURSE PARKING AREAS PLEASE HAVE YOUR PARKING TICKET AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU REACH THE DLI CITY-SIDE SUBWAY. YOUR TICKET WILL BE SCANNED AT THIS POINT.

The parking area has been divided into parking cells and each cell will be parked until full before the next is opened. Please therefore proceed swiftly to the parking area that you are directed to.

PARKING TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE RACECOURSE ON RACEDAY 4 JULY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PARKING TICKET FOR THIS AREA PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THIS AREA.

All parking and traffic procedures will be under the strict control of the Metro Police Force, the S A Police and the Event Private Security and you are urged to co-operate fully with them.

PLEASE:-

Be patient when approaching the racecourse.
Have your parking ticket ready to show the Police, Security or Parking Attendant.
Listen to members of the Police Force.
Follow the appropriate BLUE and RED signs.
Once inside the golf course please park where directed in order to avoid blocking pre-planned thoroughfares.

DIRECTIONS TO HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE RACECOURSE GOLF COURSE PARKING

Note : Golf Course parking tickets will not be sold on raceday.

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE RACECOURSE – FROM INLAND

Proceed on the N3 until the Toll Gate Bridge. Take the turnoff immediately before the Tollgate Bridge (M13 Ridge Road, Berea) or the one immediately after. (M13 Berea Road, Berea) Proceed down Berea Road. This is the road parallel to the N3. Turn left into Botanic Gardens Road (M8 Morningside – Immediately before the Technikon) and follow this road through the avenue of palm trees and through the traffic lights at John Sikhali Road (was Sydenham Road) and through the traffic lights at Gladys Mazibuko Road (was Marriott Road). Turn right into Clarence Road. The main pedestrian entrance is now a short walk to your right down any of Avondale Road, 7th, 6th or 5th Avenues.

For Members parking and Pre-Purchased Public (R170) parking on the Golf Course continue down Clarence Road and proceed around the circle then left into Gladys Manzi Road (was Mitchell Road). Continue along Gladys Manzi Road and turn right at the traffic lights and proceed under the racetrack.

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE RACECOURSE – FROM SOUTH COAST

Take the M4 towards Durban. As you near the city take the Che Guevara Road (previously Moore Road)/ Berea turnoff. Proceed straight up Che Guevara Road. (DO NOT TAKE THE RIGHT HAND FORK) Turn right at Cleaver Road (M8 Morningside) which becomes Botanic Gardens Road. Follow this road through the avenue of palm trees and through the traffic lights at John Sikhali Road (was Sydenham Road) and through the traffic lights at Gladys Mazibuko Road (was Marriott Road). Turn right into Clarence Road. The main pedestrian entrance is now a short walk to your right down any of Avondale Road, 7th, 6th or 5th Avenues.

Alternatively take the N2 north from near the old Durban International Airport. At the “Spaghetti Junction” take the fly off to the N3 to Durban. Then follow the directions for FROM INLAND above.

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE RACECOURSE – FROM NORTH COAST – Coastal Route

For Members parking and Pre-Purchased Public (R170) parking on the Golf Course take the M4 towards Durban. At the traffic light at the end of the freeway turn right into Sandile Thusi Road (was Argyle Road) M17 Berea. Turn left before the Caltex Petrol Station into Lilian Ngoyi Road (was Windemere Road) and proceed around the circle then left into Gladys Manzi Road (was Mitchell Road). Continue along Gladys Manzi Road and turn right at the traffic lights and proceed under the racetrack.

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE RACECOURSE – FROM KING SHAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

For Members parking and Pre-Purchased Public (R170) parking on the Golf Course take the N2 towards Durban. At the “Spaghetti Junction” take the fly off to the N3 Pietermaritzburg, Johannesburg, Durban. Keep in the left-hand lane and take the N3 Durban split.
