DFF: Diablotic Off-Ice Cotton

‘Country Allure’ is deeply rooted in my home, Bergville, beneath the majestic Drakensberg mountains. The inspiration behind my look comes from the Basotho shepherds of Lesotho and the mountain communities that have long shaped the cultural identity of the Drakensberg region. I wanted to tell a story of heritage, resilience, spirituality and rural elegance through fashion.
The layered textures earthy tones structured panels and wrapped detailing symbolise the rugged beauty of the mountains traditional shepherd garments and the warmth of African craftsmanship. The silhouette reflects both strength and grace, representing a modern interpretation of indigenous mountain culture while preserving its authenticity.
This look is more than fashion; it is a tribute to my roots, my upbringing and the timeless allure of country life in Bergville. Through this design I celebrate the pride of cultural identity and the beauty found in tradition, nature and African storytelling.
