The nine designers selected for the Durban Fashion Fair Rising Stars Collection are:
The Durban Fashion Fair Rising Stars, who showcase their work at the Hollywoodbets Durban July, are traditionally announced before race day.
Like the Invited Designer Showcase, the Durban Fashion Fair Rising Stars Collection is not a competition. It is a showcase of some of the best work of young mentees who have been successfully empowered through Durban Fashion Fair’s Mentorship Programme. This work of nine designers chosen to create the Hollywoodbets Durban July DFF Rising Stars Collection will be proudly shown on the Pulse Stage, located in the Infield Public Village on race day.
The Hollywood Foundation has committed R250 000 in investment funding to assist the recipients with their business development needs – items such as machinery and other tools that they would require in order to conduct their day-to-day business.
Each of the nine DFF Rising Stars designers will also receive:
- R5 000 in cash compliments of Race Coast and Schweppes
